Clark Jeffrey

Welcome!

My name is Clark, and I'm in the third year of my bachelors in mechatronics engineering at UBC! I'm particularly interested in controls engineering, and the interesection of mechanical, electrical, and software design.

For the last year, I've been working with professors in UBC's mechanical engineering department to improve and streamline lab content, but I'm also involved in many other areas of the UBC community. I'm on the frames and enclosures subteam of UBC Subbots, and I'm one of the social coordinators for the mechanical engineering undergraduate student council, Club MECH.

Projects

I've taken on quite a few projects, whether through my course work, design team, or just in my spare time. As someone with a deep love of learning, getting the opportunity to apply the principles I've learned to solve real-world problems is a really engaging and rewarding challenge. Check out the projects page to see what I've worked on.

Photography

After a long hiatus, I took up photography again in the summer of 2024, but this time on film. Compared to digital photography, I find shooting on film to be a much more intimate experience, and the pictures hold more significance to me. I've compiled some of my favourite shots on the photography page.

Writing

I find writing to be a great way to train my creative muscles. From poems, to short stories, to a full-blown novel (which I will eventually finish, I promise), each medium brings about its own set of challenges, all of which are rewarding to tackle. A compilation of some of my excerpts will be coming soon!
